We asked the lovely Christine a few things about her experience with lingerie when we shot her for our campaign with Lingerie Française. Below are her thoughts on all things lingerie…
What do you feel when wearing lingerie?
Since it’s the only piece(s) of clothing not exposed to others, it gives me a boost of extra confidence – depending on what type of lingerie I’m wearing. Or add a little sexiness to my outfit that only I will know about. For example if I’m wearing a very boyish look with no make up but dressed up in sexy lingerie underneath, it’s my secret.
When buying lingerie for yourself, what do you look for?
The price! Haha. That’s one thing obviously! I love when you can get nice quality lingerie for an affordable price! And I’ll never wear synthetic – I always look for cotton blends or a good quality cotton brief. If we are talking about sexy and tasteful lingerie I’m loyal to anything French. They got this!
What do you think the best thing is about French lingerie?
I believe French and lingerie goes hand in hand, no? French lingerie is always super stylish and sexy!
On the shoot we talked about how you finally decided to own your body at the size it’s most comfortable at. What was the turning point in your life to reclaim your body as your own?
Definitely 4 years ago, when I met my fiancé, Rasmus. He pushed me over the edge so to speak. Gave me the courage to stand up, and tell my agents that I was done trying to lose weight all the time and maintain an unrealistic body image. He believed that I could be anything I wanted to be, so I started to believe it as well.
How does lingerie make you feel empowered as a female?
It always makes me feel confident to wear nice lingerie – even though I might be the only one who knows!
