I absolutely love a trip to Dallas—and our readers there have always been such a pleasure to spend time with.
So I was very happy to head south for our last Women & Whiskies community event of the year, which was extra special because I had a chance to sit down with Amber Venz Box (who is just the best!). Amber is the founder of rewardStyle, an incredible tool that helps publishers and influencers monetize their work, as well as LIKEtoKNOW.it, which has made it possible to shop through not just Instagram, but also your screenshots. Oh, and as if she wasn’t already busy (she’s also a mom to two young kids), she also launched Cherry just last month with fellow SMU alum and founder of Bumble, Whitney Wolfe, which provides on demand manicures and pedicures in Dallas. Amber is my kind of entrepreneur. She’s smart and ambitious but also incredibly kind and thoughtful. We spoke about the evolution of retail, her successes and failures as a leader and businesswoman, and what it’s like to be part of the growing female entrepreneurial community in Dallas.
