I just love me a funny lady. So when we were putting together our latest Women & Whiskies community event in New York, I thought who better to have come chat with our readers than the absolutely hilarious Michelle Buteau.
You probably remember Michelle from our Cointreau Pop Up and this story about female comedians we published earlier in the year, but last week when we sat down it was #realtalk with Michelle. We chatted about how she got her start as a comedian (9/11 was her big push), politics (there was a very funny joke made about farting at her gynecologist’s), and her more recent struggles with fertility, which of course she has a great sense of humor about. It really was, as Michelle wrote me in an e-mail, group therapy with bourbon, and I think all of us there agree it felt good to get extra funny at the end of what’s been one hell of a year.
