There are some songs we hear at fashion shows that we absolutely cannot get out of our heads… and most of the time, we have no idea who they are by.
We weren’t going to let that happen this time. While watching the Louis Vuitton resort livestream, Brie and I both looked at each other and said, “Wait, this song is awesome…who is it?!”
One quick Shazam later and we had our answer: La Femme’s “It’s Time to Wake Up.”
It’s already at the top of my summer playlist. Here, give it a listen:

There’s something inherently sensual about French lyrics. In the same vein I totally recommend ‘Elle et Moi’ by Max Berlin. From the ‘Any Way The Wind Blows’ soundtrack – also I movie I love to recommend.
Absolutely horrible. How can anyone stand that alarm clock noise through the entire song? Ridiculous.

It’s a French indie band , who’s becoming more and more renown – with all regards to the indie concept -. But they did some major French music festivals last year (I saw them at solidays) and have been nominated amond the upcoming brand list at the “victoires de la musiques” (the french grammys). I had a big crush on them with their first titles in their album 2/3 years ago : “la femme” and “si un jour”. Very 80’s. And on stage they’re completely crazy.
