Grown Up Tunes

Upon a recent birthday, I felt like it was time to grow up in every sense of the word, including my taste in music. So, I said goodbye to the radio and Top 40 jams, and welcomed jazz music into my ears. There’s something about it that relaxes me like nothing else. And, it’s the perfect music for when you’re in the kitchen, making a home cooked meal… so I guess that makes me an official adult?!
While I love the classics, I found myself on Spotify searching for something different and innovative. I ended up discovering amazing artists under the Jazz/Neo-Soul/R&B/Hip-Hop belt. I feel like I won the jackpot with the following songs that you’ll listen to. Some will make you want to groove and dance, some will help you wind down after a long day of work or errands. Either way, these artists are doing things that no one else is doing. Give it a listen. Even Barack Obama loves some of these artists. So it’s a given, you’ll love it.
