Garance and I held a little breakfast and coffee here at the Atelier in September, then last week G sat down with Heidi Merrick in Los Angeles. For these events, our goal has been to introduce you to some of the people who inspire us most, many of whom you’ve now met through the site, so you have a chance to meet them IRL. Heidi is one of those women—she’s quickly become one of Garance’s good friends, and we’re all inspired by her authenticity, her zest for life, and that amazing laugh she has!
After a few drinks from our partners, Women & Whiskies, G and Heidi got down to business, chatting about surfing as a higher power, and what it takes to run a company, and we also celebrated Garance getting her drivers license! (She wasn’t drinking and driving, promise.) Along with our wonderful readers, a few good friends like Aninna, Anna and Haley came to support. We love gathering everyone together like this—it’s been a dream for such a long time for you to be able to meet each other outside of the comments on the site. So we’re going to continue doing these events in the coming weeks and months.
