Gardening keeps me with my two feet on the ground because in fashion we try to control everything… A fashion designer wants sunshine on a fashion show he can have it, we’ve already had rain on a fashion show. You can fake everything, but in a garden you have to obey.

I’d be a richer woman if Dries was not a designer, but now you’re making me rich with his words. So reassuring to realize that his beautiful designs come from an evolved mind and soul, not surprising, of course. I love that you tease us!
Met Dries a few years ago at a favoriteshop that was selling his book. He autographed mine. A very sweet man.. I own several pieces of his clothes.

Si les tailleurs se mettent à philosopher, je veux bien me faire habiller par Lefort, Manent, Gauchet, Girard, Rosset etc…

Au lieu de gâcher nos vies dans l’ironie, dans la manque d’authenticité, il vaut mieux vivre au maximum et gouter de la nature. C’est comme ça le bonheur vient.
