Day to Night / The White Dress

Too often our first notion of a white dress is bridal. But a white summer frock isn’t strictly reserved for weddings or Swedish Midsummer celebrations, there’s a real elegance in a woman wearing a perfectly cut ivory dress with ease.
I love when a dress has an edge of reservation, it can be taken from casual chores around the city to a sophisticated evening out. Our friend Caroline is from California so that sense of relaxed glamour just emanates from her. Tousled blonde locks and an infectious giggle are the perfect accessory to take this unassuming Elizabeth & James dress from day to night.
Day: A color-blocked windbreaker makes for the perfect collaborator, with its smocked waist and subtle nod to 90s sportswear. A simple flat makes running around a walk in the park.
Night: No jacket required, a circular gather is revealed at the side, drawing the eye to drop earrings that mirror the same shape. A simple neutral pouch and traditional woven heel bring a touch of artisanal slant to your evening wear.
