… an opportunity to tell you how much I love the magazine since its beginnings – the vision, the incredible artwork, the interviews and the perspective on fashion.
I also recently fell totally under the spell of the Ipad edition. To me it’s one of the best I’ve seen around, and for the first time made me think “Oh my god, I think I prefer to read the digital version rather than the paper one” (I felt so ashamed for a second – In fashion you’re supposed to say nothing will ever be better than reading your magazine on paper.)
If you have an Ipad I really encourage you to download it, and then let me know what you think.

Clémence : Tu lis quoi sur le Ipad ? En général justement je trouve que les magazines sont pas hyper bien adaptés pour l’Ipad, j’aimerais bien en trouver des nouveaux :-)

It’s ok to say that you like the iPad version more.
I do love my paper mags but sometimes there is nothing better than the iPad version.

Pour lire mes magasines préférés sur mon Ipad j’ai téléchargé l’appli Relay.fr comme les kiosques à l’aéroport… tu as accès à toute la presse française, tu peux t’abonner c’est vraiment super bien fait!!! Moi je suis accro car je ne suis pas très fan des magasines US….

What a great selection of images Garance! And I agree, I find reading magazines on my iPad generally rather annoying (what happened to tearing, folding, drawing on pages you like?!) If it is your recommendation I’ll give it a go though.

J’ai découvert Self Service il y a un an et demi, complètement par hasard dans une librairie d’art et de design à Manchester. J’ouvre le magazine, n°32 justement, je tombe sur l’intégralité du Grand Journal, quelques pages plus loin, “oh mais c’est Garance Doré ! mais c’est quoi ce magazine avec Yann Barthès et Garance Doré en même temps ??” j’ai ensuite voulu retrouver les photos sur internet, impossible ! ça fait donc un an et demi que je cherchais tout ça, merci beaucoup pour l’info ! :)
I am not really into on-line magazines but have to admit they are so handy when it comes to be at work and want to have a little breask ;-)))

Quand même j’ai regardé les photos sélectionnées et cela confirme que je n’aime vraiment pas le style chloé sevigny et Roitfield c’est vraiment trop vulgaire à mon goût. Peut t’on me dire ce qu’on leur trouve? (je suis peut être la seule à penser cela ?)
