Pardon My Jeffrey Campbell

Here’s why Violaine succumbed to the awful power of Jeffrey Campbells (she promised me she’d never go for them again, even if threatened).
“I bought them on a whim on a trip to NYC few seasons ago because (in no specific order):
1. I’m not a New Yorker (yet) and international impulsive purchases don’t count.
2. They make my legs longer.
3. I have tiny feet so it doesn’t look like I’m a clown, but more like I’m one of Charles Anastase’s muses or something.
4. The version I got it’s a very rare pattern (cough) so it makes it kind of exclusive (more cough).
5. If they make my legs longer, it makes me taller. So when I’m on a shoot it allows me to hold a conversation with a model’s boobs rather than a model’s crotch (doesn’t save from embarrassment but decreases it massively).
6. They are SOOOOOO comfortable.
7. I can wear them when I go out and I’m not scared to destroy them.
8. I’m so confident with my personal style that I don’t care what people think (some excuses can also be the biggest lies).
9. I’m French and in some ways probably a descendant of Coco Chanel so I can get away with everything (WOOOOWW).
And one day I stopped wearing them because I ran out of excuses.”
Violaine no longer wears Jeffrey Campbell and is the editor-in-chief of Velour magazine.

Tous les arguments sont sympas, voire pertinents. Au final, plus on cherche à se justifier, moins c’est convaincant.
Aha tout ces arguments sont vrais d’un côté, respect pour le “francaise, donc descendante de Coco Chanel donc je peux les porter” !
Et on en as toutes voulues je pense..après on a réfléchi et on s’est dit que c’était une idée débile :)

Très inspirante Violaine. Ca me rappelle un peu tout le dialogue (monologue?) intérieur qui occupe mon esprit quand je suis sur le point d’acheter quelque chose de très cher.
Sauf que ses arguments à elle sont tout bonnement irréfutables.
Je pense que je vais reprendre l’excuse du descendant de Coco Chanel pour me permettre plus de choses à l’avenir. Comme oser les mocassins, m’assoir à la place d’une personne agée dans le bus, et couper la file au cinéma.

She is very funny. SO cute. I must admit I do like the JC shoes on a very petite girls and though I’ve never tried them on I assumed they would be very uncomfortable. I can imagine she would look super cute in them, but I also agree that maybe they have had their day int he sun and need to retreat to the back of the closet. : ) x

Now I know how people who wear croc feel when I say to them It not fashionable. Oh Garance what’s wrong with Jeffrey Campbell from my eye they look nice and well made and more importantly not expensive. My mother and sister are obsess about them. They bought in five pairs totally. And I think they look chic especially print slipper. Give me more Garance I’m ready to be school of what consider cool these day.
