I’m declaring it the summer of the denim skirt.
Okay, maybe that is kind of a big call, but I’m seeing a ton of them lately. This one on Jana is ultra chic, super tight and super high-waisted. I like mine a little bit baggy, lower on the waist, a bit distressed, the kind that feels like it’s been really lived in. Whats your denim skirt style?

Oh my! Lovely on her but quite a daring shape that I would not wear. I prefer a short skirt or even better my pair of old very short vintage shorts in denim with lots of holes!

Oui, une jupe courte, assez droite et assez foncée, ça a toujours un certain caractère! Et pour les shorts, pareil, très courts sinon rien. Je trouve le long en jeans (sauf pour les pantalons, haha) assez difficile à mettre en valeur quand on n’a pas la silhouette…
Ce look est absolument sublime, j’aime tout!

I used to love denim skirts in my teens, and they somehow completely disappeared from the fashion landscape, but are now re-appearing in a more grown-up, minimalist form. Definitely something that I will try soon!

Je trouve ça joli mais je n’aime pas du tout en porter en été! trop rigide à mon goût, je préfère les jupettes légères… Ceci dit avec une chemise, un collier ethnique et des sandales colorées comme sur la photo c’est super joli pour une soirée entre copines ;)

While the above looks totally gorgeous on her, I could never wear something like this in the hot, humid NYC summer. Too tight, too long….I can imagine having to peel it or, worse, suction it off! So, distressed, shorter and on the loose side for me!

OH Jeans ..i love it as pants as skirts it is always sexy nonchalant…it always looks good on skinny girls,models young people…so in my mind it is always beautiful,,,the problem is that most of the people don’t looks like model,and the jeans put more kilo on your hips when you are not skinny…so i stopped wearing it..but in pictures it always works…

Celle-la est idéale pour un look urbain, mais pour les vacances je la préfère courte ;-)
Voyons voyons. Assez longue pour couvrir ma modestie, assez courte pour ne pas marcher dessus, assez serrée pour rester au bon endroit et assez large pour marcher. Sinon, je suis ouverte à toute proposition. Je sais, mon humour est pitoyable. Je sors.

I envy her perfect hair! Hmmm. the jean skirt seems like a hard thing to wear, Jana’s is great, but I don’t know it I could pull it off. I’d probably go for something high wasted, distressed and fairly short though.

I would love a Denim skirt but can’t find one I like. I had one years ago that buttoned down the front, slightly A-line. I would love that skirt again. It looked good with everything.
Most of the ones I’ve seen are too short, and quite ugly.

Still looking for the perfect denim skirt! But this look is great. That girl found the perfect way to be stylish without being stylish! You know?! Everything could look boring, but have this quiet twist that make the whole POP. Cool cut for the top, vivd orange for the shoes and that skirt! Honestly that length would look horrible on me. You need to be tall and have narrow hips otherwise it’s a disaster!!
This girl is sooooo stylish and cool. High waist skirt is not easy to wear elegantly, but she managed. High waist skirt easily makes you short and fat….. but fashionable!

La jupe en jean c’est top, ça va avec tout.
Pour ce qui est de la jupe longue, je ne trouve pas ça super pratique au quotidien (escaliers etc…) donc j’opte plutot pour du court ni trop serré (confort, confort !) ni trop large (si on peut éviter l’incident fesses à l’air…). Au final c’est technique la jupe en jean.
Par contre ces chaussures <3<3
