The energy of Milan is vibrant, fast and beautiful; much like Chiara – who, after doing a bit of stalking perusing through street style online, I found to be a real milanese gem – not one to blend in to the crowds in the best of ways! Immediately I got in touch with her to meet up while Erik and I were in town!
Milan was cold, but Chiara was bright. Her dog a charismatic companion to her sultry Italian style, and just the bit of zest we needed after our fourth espresso hadn’t done the trick. She’s a master of high-low dressing, combining vintage with designer, and Zara with Italian brands I’m looking forward to researching.
That coat! Probably one of a kind and hard to replicate as is her style. But totally inspirational! And that chamois-colored wall behind her is warming me up after a frigid walk this morning. And my pup Karina is pleased that Chiara has a dog. (Whenever we pass a dog-less person on our morning woods walk, she looks at them in askance, as if to say, “Where’s your pup?”)
So true! My dogs do the same :)

really like those pants in the 2nd photo (dark blue velvet with multi colored squares). I don’t think everyone could wear those but they show off personality. I feel like what I like about Italian style is how it can be a bit over the top. it feels like the fashion sense is a bit wild.
