I avoid buying bras at all costs. I also avoid washing my bras, but that’s another story and don’t @me about how gross it is. I already know.
But anyway, back to bra buying. I hate buying bras because anything with an underwire ends up not beneath my boob, but instead slicing my boob in half because my boobs are so small there’s not enough heft there to keep an underwire in place, it just sllliiiidees on up till my nipple is suffocating.
I wrote about how much I love a bralette for this reason here. And for the past six months I’ve completely sworn off all underwires…until CUUP sent me a selection of theirs.
CUUP’s mission, in their words, is “to create a collection of flattering, comfortable and unrestrictive bras built for every woman — without compromising comfort, fit, or aesthetic.”
Hot damn, they did it. I know this because I accidentally slept in one last Thursday. I seriously forgot I had it on and woke up the next morning with my bra still on under my sleep shirt. That’s never happened before.
So this is just my honest PSA to check them out if you, like me, are underwire averse.
Hey, try a smaller band size with a bigger cup size and loosen up your straps, that would help with the bra ‘riding up’ problem.
