The Style of Patricia Lagmay
5 years ago by
What are you wearing and how does it reflect your personal style?
Everything l’m wearing, outside of jewelry, has been thrifted. An old boyfriend once gave me the nickname budget bougie (hey Migos), which more or less sums me up. I love beautiful, well-made pieces, but can only really appreciate them if I’ve found them for a steal! The jacket that I’m wearing is the perfect LA piece because it’s compact and doesn’t wrinkle, which means I can throw it in my tote during the day, and whip it out once it gets cold at night.
Describe your style in 3 words or phrases.
Simple, but thoughtful. Also, budget bougie.
What is your ideal outfit or uniform?
A men’s navy tee, faded vintage Levis, 90’s kitten heels, and the same gold jewelry I wear everyday.
Who are your style icons?
CBK (Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy). And my mom.
How does living in LA influence your style?
I’ve become a much more casual dresser since moving here. Comfort has become more important, too, but that could just be an aging thing.
What are you excited about in fashion right now?
All the beautiful Filipina (and in general, South East Asian) faces that are slowly being celebrated. It’s not something I saw growing up and I definitely had moments of being a tween, wishing I was a different ethnicity. I’m excited for these shifts to eliminate that across the board.
Sublime simplicité !
So good! If only this was longer.
J’adore son style et aussi son interieur qui lui ressemble : simple, epure, elegant.
Very Cool and …Love the Photos , Kate !!!
Someone that looks like me… finally!
I would love to see how she puts together other thrifted pieces to create a great style. More of Patricia, please!
