Constaaaaance! My favorite frenchie model. She’s stunning, so cool, and smart that we did a career interview with her – do you remember?
This week, Estée Lauder is launching their new website, and I will be a regular contributor with articles on products of my choice on The Estée Edit. I’m very happy about this project – not only am I going to learn the ins and outs of a super cult brand, but I’ll also be working with the very best – Constance, Liu Wen, Joan Smalls, Carolyn Murphy… Not a bad line up, right?
I had to start with Constance, and I had to start with lipstick.
I decided to talk about Pure Color Envy. The technology in this lipstick is unbelievable – I got to see a half-hour demo with the head of make-up (dream job alert!!!) at Estée Lauder who showed me why it’s revolutionary… But I’m afraid I can’t explain it to you : I totally forgot everything. But it’s okay – the thing is, what counts is how good it makes you look.
Lipstick is something special to me. When I started this blog, that was kind of the signature of all my illustrations, and kind of my personal signature too – I wore it all the time. Then little by little, I sort of left red lipstick behind to focus on eyes – and then when I cut my hair, red made a big come back.
I love wearing it, especially during the day, casually, as an accessory to brighten up my pretty minimalist style – it’s a simple way to give confidence and femininity… Which is why I decided to shoot Constance in a very natural, not too dressed up or made up way.
I’ve always wanted to shoot more beauty, because I think there is a way to make it more intimate and approachable. That’s why I’m excited about this project, and that’s why I wanted to tell you about it! Kisses!

My mom was always a big proponent of finishing off your look with statement lipstick. I never really appreciated that until recently and now it’s my go-to when I want to feel a lil’ sassy :)

Elle est sublime, et c’est vrai qu’elle est très cool et semble plutôt accessible au lieu d’une beauté froide et lointaine, et a l’air très sympa et simple :)
Le rouge à lèvres est pour moi l’accessoire le plus sexy qui soit, pas besoin de tenue qui en montre trop, just les cheveux un peu flous, un top en lin large et une belle bouche “j’ai mangé une barquette de framboises”, c’est canon !

Non mais d’accord pour le rouge, moi aussi j’adore, sauf que je suis la seule à qui ça pose un problème, les traces de rouge? Pourquoi existe-t-il si peu de rouges sans transferts avec lesquels on peut fumer (oui, bon, chacun ses vices), boire et manger, sans pour autant finir avec une bavette désseschée à la place des babines? Soit ça colle, soit ça dessèche. Moi je cherche toujours le rouge de mes rêves…

Et s’il y a un produit dans la marque que tu n’aimes pas ou que tu trouves décevant, tu as le droit de ne pas en parler ou tu en parleras quand même? Ce n’est pas une question mesquine mais une vraie question sur ce que tu as négocié dans le partenariat.

Elle est sublime cette fille et ce rouge ne fait que la mettre en valeur! Je ne jure que par les lipstick aussi en ce moment! J’adore le Ruby Woo, le rouge parfait, le Lady Danger, un orangé pop, et un black Up fuchsia juste magnifique! Sur peau bronzée, c’est top!
