Tech Workout
9 years ago by
Recently, I tried the first smart activewear. Smarter than your phone! (Although they also work with your phone, so maybe don’t be so hard on it.)
I met the founder, Jake, he gave me some seemingly normal-looking workout pants to put on (which also kind of made me feel like Iron Man when he clipped in the sensor) and went about my normal workout regime.
After each set I did, Jake would show me how my muscles were working on the app (yes, of course there is an app) – I could see my left buttox was working way harder than my right for instance. But that’s the idea. To assure the body is balanced while you work out, that way you can immediately make the little adjustments needed in the areas you are hoping to sculpt.
With the app, you can even keep track to see your progress! It’s pretty cool, and kind of like having a personal trainer with you saying “Hey! Work the right side harder!” without having someone resembling Mr.Clean standing over you.
Is this the wave of the future? Clothing that helps us be better people?
En tout cas pour y réfléchir…
