Winter Tote

When I choose a bag, the amount of things I need to check off before making the purchase is daunting.
The right color… the right color for the season. Leather? Two-toned? Is it durable to make it through the NYC subways? And above all, does it look good with my generally black monochrome outfits?
The idea of a natural tote with a little pop of color is perfect for winter. This one by Dillon des Pres Co. has just the right amount of color to accent my daily wardrobe and is thick enough to make it through the tough streets of New York (I’m talking to you Broadway tourists).
What’s your ideal tote for day-to-day?

My ideal tote needs to have enough space for A4, has to combine easily and preferably have a zipper. Love this one too though, beautiful and so unique! xx

I really like this bag Brie!
I am really in love with Michael Kors bags as of late. I have a white leather cross body bag and a Hampton tote in a pretty brown/tan with an ostrich like texture on the leather, this is my go to everyday bag for Fall. I am saving up and hoping for another MK bag for Christmas.
Big, super soft leather, very simple and getting better with the time, timeless…

That’s one of the most beautiful bags I’ve seen in a long time. My ideal bag must fit in big tablet, book and a magazine (I never know which one I’ll fancy reading), perfumes, deodorant, brush, scarf, umbrella, bottle of water, 5 lipsticks, bronzer….Sometimes if also I have files to carry I will just shove everything in a small suitcase and just take my Chanel 2.55.

I have been fan of Frietag bags for the last two years and their tote is the best bag that I have ever had! Super light, just the right size and indestructible :) and recycled so I am very eco conscious too :)

Je crève d’envie de me racheter un sac mais celui que j’ai finit toujours pas gagner tant il a vieilli avec moi. Un sac à main FOSSIL en cuir au look cartable vert émeraude mat qui à force de vivre avec moi et d’être utilisé tous les jours, s’est patiné sublimement, résiste aux affres du temps (la pluie ne lui a jamais fait peur). La matière s’est assouplie du coup, il est hyper maniable. Et toujours classe. Oui je l’adore. Cependant, je suis d’accord avec toi : c’est un sac d’hiver. L’été, il se repose. Celui que tu as shooté est très beau dans le genre forme cabas ultra-chic et design. N’est-ce pas un inconvénient cependant qu’il n’ait pas de fermeture ?
i has to have zip fastening along the top. Esp when we’re talking about subway or any traffic. I am sorry so many designers do not think about it. Are they really that blind?

How can you possibly breathe carrying a bag without a Zip ?!!
I’m not saying I’m freaking out when I go out, but after someone stole my wallet (of course containing my whole life in it), my first mental check before choosing a bag is “CAN I CLOSE IT PROPERLY” and maybe the second one being “WOULD SOMEONE BE ABLE TO HELP HIMSELF WITH SOME OF THE ITEMS IT CONTAINS WITHOUT me being able to notice it”.

Hi Marie – I feel you, I’ve had worse luck with small bags being stolen and I’m pretty crazy on the subway when it comes to protecting my goods. Maybe some bags are best kept for less travel heavy situations ;)

J’aime beaucoup ce sac! Le design est top, les couleurs sont fraîches et il est trop mignon.
Moi pour cette hiver, j’ai pleins de sacs dont notamment mon magnifique cabas gris tout cuir où je peux tout mettre dedans (même mon lisseur, aha). Il se mélange avec pratiquement toutes mes tenues et il est tellement ravissant que je n’oserai jamais le poser par terre!

J’ai acheté pour la 1ère fois un sac (entièrement) noir. Un cabas, de la même forme que celui-ci, en cuir, bi-matière (cuir grainé et imprimé python noir). J’adore ce sac!

Un beau jour, cette journaliste du magazine Cosmopolitan, me contacte et me demande de publier un article sur ce que je fais….je ne pouvais rêver mieux. Ce n’est peut être rien mais pour moi c’était une porte qui s’ouvrait, aujourd’hui j’aimerais qu’une deuxième s’ouvre, (en mémoire à ma tendre maman qui a toujours cru en moi et qui serait tellement fière du chemin parcouru) qui de mieux que LA sublime blogueuse “mode” Garance Doré, pour cela…
Il doit être ni trop petit, ni trop grand, il doit se porter en bandoulière, il doit avoir une couleur facile à marier à mes tenues monochromes grises, il doit avoir un petit côté rock.
Pour l’instant, c’est le neo-folk de Balenciaga mais j’aime aussi beaucoup le frangé de chez Gucci
