I’m a sucker for good packaging when it comes to beauty products…
I love taking a super elegant lipstick out of my bag (I’m talking to you Tom Ford) and applying it while looking into a really chic compact (that’s you, Chanel Les Beiges). You can imagine my excitement when I saw the packaging for the Proenza Schouler collaboration with MAC. The rainbow metallic compacts and lipstick tubes are exactly what I want to be seen taking out of my bag. You know, for when I can’t avoid applying my makeup in public…
The metallic package is indeed very nice, but that awful font and the space between the two words makes it look like it was made by a kid. Such a shame!

Perso, je craque pas du tout pour ce genre de packaging, je trouve que ça fait un peu superficiel et “cheap”. En général je préfère les packagings plus simples, clean mais avec un petit truc en plus comme un détail sur le boitier, ou un joli matériau pour le baton de rouge à lèvre ou bien un bouchon original… J’aime bien aussi quand les contenants des produits maquillage sont transparents et que l’on voit la couleur du produit, que l’on peut deviner sa texture, etc. Ici, on a l’impression que c’est du plastique qui cache le vrai produit MAC, et la police de PS est vraiment moche…. Dommage.
