There are few things more luxurious than a bath.
Truthfully, I don’t even know the last time I took a bath (I’m a shower girl). It definitely hasn’t happened since I’ve lived in New York (tubs here are far too small) but when I think of the ultimate way to relax, it’s with a bath. And if I do it, I want to go all out. Bubbles, music, candles and good smells.
Hermès’ new line, Le Bain, features a collection of bath products based on their signature scents. Not only do they smell amazing, but combined with the classic packaging (soaps in a little orange box, j’adoreeee!) it makes for one seriously chic bath.

Je suis déjà dingue de l’huile parfumée “Un jardin après la mousson” après la douche, je la trouve parfaite pour l’été quand la pluie est chaude, alors je pense tester la version bain! d’ordinaire j’aime qu’il y ait énormément de mousse :)

Baths are one of my main joys in life! To celebrate, to recuperate, to think things over, to think about nothing at all- a bath is my favorite remedy. On the decadent end of the spectrum, I like them hot with incense and oils and a joint (that I light in the candle). On the simple end, I throw a pinch of rose tea into the water and put on a Carla Bruni record.
I shower with Dr. Bronner’s peppermint soap in summer and Eucalyptus, Tea Tree or Lavender the rest of the time. Kneipp oils for the occasional (mostly wintertime) bath.
Non mais que c’est beau ! Rien de plus chic que de prendre son bain en Hermès, peut-être encre plus que de dormir nue avec du n°5 !

Je suis plutot “douche” mais ces produits Hermes peuvent donner un air tres chic a une modeste salle de bains.
Je suis plutôt du genre à prendre des douches! Mais j’avoue qu’un bon bain pour se relaxer, c’est le top!
Cette gamme de produits a l’air démente!

J’aime beaucoup utiliser des huiles de bains Weleda ou Dr. Hauschka !
Very recently, I’ve been on this kick to find or make the perfect salt or sugar scrub. Lush’s Ocean Salt seems best so far. Scrubs seem better suited for baths and you get a chance to soak in all of the scrub’s lusciousness. I usually shower but I have a big, new tub that I must initiate and use often. These Hermes products might be the ticket too. I love their scents.
I make my own and it works really well. Just mix soft brown sugar with an oil of your choice – I’ve been using apricot kernel oil recently. I find my skin is super soft and moisturised when I’m done.
Je prends un bain une à deux fois par semaine, plutôt bien chauds que je fais suivre d’une douche froide.
En général je mets soit des sels de bain, soit du bain moussant (suivant l’humeur). En hiver j’aime beaucoup utiliser de l’ylang-ylang ou de la vanille, des odeurs chaudes et en été des fragrances plus marines.
Et puis un bon bouquin, une petite serviette pourne pas avoir mal à la nuque.
Avant d’y rentrer je me brosse parfois un peu le corps. En sortant j’applique systématiquement une huile ou un beurre corporel.
C’est très ritualisé tout ça, mais c’est ma parenthèse détente que je m’offre de temps en temps :)

L’eau d’Orange Verte de Hermes… my favorite ! J’adore également les huiles pour le bains Santa Maria Novella, dont l’odeur est un peu forte et qui super hydrate. Je les achète directement à la pharmacie, ici à Florence. Divino !

I looove baths! I make sure to squeeze a bath into my schedule at least once a week. I add essential oils to my baths and I definitely can’t do without them. The smell is to die for and on those days that every inch of my body aches, I can definitely feel the pain leave my body.
J’adore les bains… mais en hiver seulement ! L’été c’est bain de mer ;)
Magnifiques ces savons Hermès. Le vrai luxe en effet ! Pour ma part, ce que j’aime par dessus tout, ce sont les savons Penhaligon’s, surtout l’emblématique collection English Fern… Un accord fougère désuet à souhait, comme on en sent rarement de nos jours.
