Hair Bow

Hair Bow

An argument for swapping your elastic hair tie for a ribbon.

A little theatrical but more understated in this delicate netted material, I usually dismiss the bow in hair approach. It’s often sidelined as overtly feminine, too girly, not sensible. But let’s think about the pros here — it’s kind of cool if you pair it with a simple tee and jeans, or use it as a way to downplay a tough leather jacket look. It also allows for hair to fall in this romantic, whimsical way (or you can make that happen)… And a ribbon or similar means that hair doesn’t get that noticeable kink that an elastic band creates.

A reminder that bows can be worn by real women. Thoughts?! Pro- or anti-hair bows?
