Burn After Reading

The savior to your sent-too-soon emails is here.

Almost like a bigger, badder and more grownup version of SnapChat, a new tool called Dmail is a Google Chrome Extension that complements any Gmail account to let you revoke or time an email to self-destruct. We’ve all been there, when a word (or name, eek!) is autocorrected incorrectly, or maybe sent to the wrong person with the same first name (!!!). That moment when you realize you hit ‘send’ a second too soon.

But this tool lets you go back and destroy the email, any time after it’s sent — even if it’s already been read by the recipient and you just want to get rid of that paper trail.

Another cool thing about Dmail is that it allows you to set a time when the email will automatically delete itself, with options from one hour to one week. So it’s a safeguard if you need to send personal information via email like risqué photos bank account details…

You can download it here.
