Let’s talk about bondage for a moment. Stick with me! I promise not to descend down a Fifty Shades of Grey diatribe of erotic nonsense.
Because really, that IS what Jackie’s top is reminiscent of – Malcolm McLaren & Vivienne Westwood’s brand Seditionarie back in the 70s, a line tinged with sex, drugs, and rock & roll. Certainly not for everyone, but what I love about Jackie’s style, and something I tend to do also, is the way she marries two conflicting ideas. Soft and hard. Femme and boyish – both refusing to cave into the typical standards of what you might expect from either end of the spectrum. Sometimes combinations just work together and when you see it accomplished on someone like Jackie, you get inspired to try something new too.
Who knows, taking a step into unfamiliar territory in dressing could forge an entire path of saying yes to new things!
