The Babouche: the shoe I always knew I wanted but never knew what to call them.
It’s more sophisticated than a slide (my favorite shoe for warmer months) and less of a challenge than a mule (after Garance’s mishap last year, I don’t think I want to go down that road). The babouche is the embodiment of ease, the shoe you literally just slip on when looking good and being comfortable are of equal importance…and then kick off whenever you want to stay a while.
I loved them when I first saw Brie don a pair of cherry red ones a few weeks ago (though it should be said that I love most things Brie wears), and I only love them more in sunshine yellow (though it should be said that I’ve loved yellow since I found out it was Orlando Bloom’s favorite color. I was 10 and obsessed with him, but I’m totally over him now and totally wasn’t 74 weeks deep in his Instagram the other night.)
Et voila, the babouche!

Yes babouches are fantastic! In Berlin everybody wears Adidas pool slippers, but I’d say, they are totally 2015 . Hard to get cool ones from Morocco, though.
These are beautiful. However, I fear that they easily slip off your feet because of the lack of a back. Do you find that to be the case?
