“I am wearing a vintage blazer I found in Les Puces Saint Ouen just outside Paris, while I was meant to be furniture shopping. I loved everything about it, the shoulder pads, the brown and beige tones, and the relaxed, masculine sort of fit I am always after.
For me, comfort and balance are the most important qualities in an outfit. Don’t wear something that will start to feel oppressive half way through the day, and let a more interesting piece stand out against an understated backdrop.
My wardrobe necessities include a blazer that goes with everything, perfectly tailored black trousers, a pair of blue jeans that miraculously bridge the gap between chilled and hot, a cashmere overcoat, a great trench, a crisp white shirt, and a well made, solid-heeled bootie in which to run around Paris.”
