Ally in New York

Ally is my kind of gal. A sort of hybrid between East (born and raised) and West (currently stationed) – she exudes both the easy warmth of California and the tenacious demeanor of a New Yorker.
I first met Ally at a pop up event for her sustainably harvested, California-roasted coffee brand Canyon Coffee at L’estudio a few months back. She was kind, beautiful, and braless in a Christy Dawn dress. Like I said, my kind of gal.
This contradiction of characteristics – a woman in a floral dress making a mean cup of pour over coffee, a full Jesse Kamm + canvas tote bag outfit on the streets of Nolita, a born New Yorker with long golden locks – is a nice reminder that neither style nor womanhood must be put in a box.
Needless to say, I bought a bag of Canyon Coffee beans that day, and I’ll likely buy a pair of Kamm pants now too.
