Quand je pense aux chapeau (oui cela m’arrive!), je pense directement à ceux d’Audrey Hepburn dans Breakfast at Tiffany’s! Quelle allure!

Oui c’est vrai. A Paris on peut passer inaperçu dans les tenues les plus extravagantes. Par contre, quand, il y a deux ans, je mettais une chapka pour me protéger du froid l’hiver, les gens dans la rue m’arrêtaient pour m’en parler. Mon copain était allergique à la fourrure, du coup j’ai du y renoncer. Avec un bonnet, c’est plus pareil :)
Oh mon Dieu c’est si vrai ! Lorsque je mets un chapeau, c’est comme si je devenais une tout autre personne. Les gens s’arrêtent sur la rue pour me complimenter. Il y en a même qui me lance des signes d’approbations. C’en est presque gênant ! C’est un grand mystère de la vie ce chapeau…

ha that’s so true ! I never dare to wear hats, I don’t know why I feel slightly intimidated by them…But I find them so chic and they add an instant cool allure so I will have to face my fear :)
It had been years since I wanted one and I finally bought a black hat this fall, it’s amazing how much of a confidence boost it is! High heels, a straight skirt and my favorite black hat and the world belongs to you (or more likely Paris at night…). And yes, definitely some looks and comments :)
My dad used to wear hats like these. In fact, I have inherited them from him and I love LOVE them. They used to be iconic for a man from the Peruvian Andes (at least it was seen that way in Peru). Now I see them with a whole different perspective and I am happy I got to keep them :). I will be publishing some pics with them soon! It’s a total different world and way of wearing them out here!

Oh love the picture and the quote. I loooovvvve a good hat and I think it is probably one of the sexiest, fab-esque accessories out there (and what a saviour for bad hair days!), But I also always felt kind of uncomfortable wearing them, too self aware for my liking: now I know, other people staring (I know I know I should embrace my inner celeb but thank you no thank you).
Well, that being said, that does not stop me from buying them (and I definitely love the nude one on the pic) – as I am definitely planning on wearing them someday. Along with my size 36 jeans from highschool. Sigh.

Si je devais m’en acheter un ce serait un beau Panama, un vrai, ou un Borsalino de Motsch (avec tout le savoir-faire et le respect d’Hermès qui s’y ajoute) Bon on ne parle pas de prix bien sûr…haaa la la mes goûts de luxe…ça me perdra…

True, you have to consider your hat first, before taking any moves: find a proper place for it in the cafe or let it sit on your lap while on the bus. Well, but I still love wearing hats!

I totally agree! I just got my first beautiful, large Borsalino as a present from my husband and it really rocks. I feel like I’m a completely different person when I wear it. And I like it!

J’ai adopté le chapeau, il y a 3 mois seulement. Un accessoire puis un substitut au bonnet quand il fait froid. Je suis fan. Ca donne une élégance folle. Même en tenue camouflage, Cheveux attachés à la va vite, Manteau noir, écharpe grise. Mais ce qui fait la différence c’est ce chapeau acheté sur un coup de tête chez Zara Homme pour le prix d’un bonnet en acrylique. C’est bluffant, le nombre de regard et de compliments. Un gloss rose soutenu pour seule maquillage … Le chapeau, c’est un des secrets de beauté qu’il faut révéler …
I love, love wearing them and its also very practical on a bike when it rains: no mascara /eyeshadow running over my face and my hands free (’cause no umbrella).
Unfortunately too much rain is not good. My favorite one lost its shape completely..:(.
For my birthday (in about 3 weeks) I want a new one. I like the hats in the picture very much! Especially the camel one.

Très belle photo, j’adore les chapeaux pour l’élégance et le mystère qu’ils inspirent !
Pourrais-tu nous donner quelques conseils, marques, coups de coeur…c’est souvent un accessoire cher et les marques de chapeaux ne sont pas très connues.
Bref ton avis sur le concept du chapeau serait vraiment vraiment très très chouette :)

J’adore les chapeaux, depuis plusieurs années je les collectionnes, particulièrement
ce en laine ou feutrine, ça peu tellement transformer une tenue, c’est vraiment
la cerise sur le gâteau, ta photo est très belle .
Je suis complètement dingue des Eugenia Kim, la chapellerie c’est de l’art,
j’ai aussi beaucoup aimé les Gucci, c’est très simpa !
Mon dernier craquage chapeau c’est un “Janis” Beige de Steve Alan, je le porte tous
les jours !
