Last week I had dinner at The Musket Room, a new restaurant in Nolita that I think is super charming. The food is inspired by New Zealand and really delicious. I love the whole vibe of the restaurant, it is really somewhere that you want to hang out.
Jennifer (on the left) is one of the owners of the restaurant, and her sister Nicole helps out with events. We did a career interview with Jennifer and will be posting it on the blog soon!

i love the stripped bare walls. and new zealand cuisine sounds so exotic :)

Dining should be a pleasure, and these photos seem to prove that–even with the food not present!

Looks absolutely charming. On my list to visit on my next NYC trip. Thanks, G.
Off topic somewhat but…I read the career interview with Kristy Hurt and have now greatly improved my attitude towards Human Resource Consultants. I used to think of them as like club bouncers. I must politely BS with them so I can meet with the intended person. I now appreciate and benefit from the great service they provide. I had a meeting today with an HR recruiter that was quite pleasant. Looking forward to the career interview with Jennifer.

OMG !! C’est tout ce que j’aime !!

Very inviting place – the seat in the corner – by the window – seems to the done for writing a book there (or sketching the life around)… I am going to keep the address!

How Beautiful! I love it!
Hi Garance, if you like restaurants with New Zealand influence then you must go to Public – I think it is on Elizabeth street in Nolita too. Have you been there? It is my favourite restaurant / bar in manhattan and it was an old public library. This sounds weird but the toilets are nice with the little bars of soap and their plum and chilli mojitos amazing. Enjoy! Sham xx
I agree with Lesley – come visit us in New Zealand! It’s a beautiful country as well as having great people and food :)
Such an amazing place! Great vibe, decor and textures! Wish I was in New York tonight and have dinner at The Musket Room :)
Really WOW

Hello, I live in New York and I love finding new restaurants in the Big Apple.
Last week I heard about a new restaurant in Soho, “Chicane”.
I went there and I was very surprised, first by the very vintage decor with details everywhere, ambiance South of France (I personally have never seen this style in New York) and more, the dishes are very diverse and unique (French riviera).
AMAZING cocktails! Always delicious and well proportioned to the image of the Riviera flavors.
I think its the new place to be.
