Its hard to find a heel that is ladylike, not too fancy and of course, comfortable for everyday wear!
These ones from Alexander Wang have that nice sturdy heel, great for walking on those treacherous cobblestones. And the ankle strap locks you in, similar to my Teva’s. That’s it! They are basically a heeled Teva . Haha, okay they are way more chic.
What kind of heel do you wear in the city?
Des sandales a talons compenses, avec des lanieres croisees, ouvertes derriere pour supporter la chaleur floridienne.
i have a pair of melissa clogs in bright red and a pair of pink wedges from united nude. both are very comfy! :)

Sandales très confortables!! C’est un mélange de classique et de moderne, elles sont à porter avec tout, mais à porter particulièrement avec une petite robe bleue fluide au dessus des genoux et cheveux au vent.
They look so elegant and comfortable…there is nothing to say it is so much more elegant to be with heels than flat….

Those heels look comfy but not at all frumpy- such a rarity for heels. I find that I can really make any reasonable heel city-tolerable with those Dr. Scholl’s ball-of-the-foot gel pads. Throw them in some thicker-heeled sandals and I’m all set!

Ahh I love these! The texture almost reminds me of a really chic tennis shoe.
These are sure beautiful and I love the thick heel. Me? I wear a very special heel… it’s called a flat. Usually slip on Vans. I only wear heels when I’m going someplace heel-worthy.

Comfortable heels are so hard to find! After so many unlucky purchases I go with heeled mocs from Tods (6 cm), snake skin Thierry Rabotins (5 cm) and surprisingly comfortable suede mules from Gianvitto Rossi.

What I really like about them is that they are white, without being too obvious about it. I used to have a similar pair, same heel, and they were great for the cobblestones in Rome. Now I just wear flats, and drive with heels. But I;m tempted to try block heels again…

These are just lovely. I must admit, since moving to a big city, my heels rarely come out to play. Between the cobblestones, up-and-down subway stairs and extremely temperamental weather, I stick to the flats that won’t leave in agony if I get caught out longer than I intend. On the rare occasion I do slip on a heel, I usually opt for a supportive wedge or something with a chunky heel like this.
These look comfy for high heels and i do love Alexander Wang.
However, i would go for a bit lower heel for strolling a city like New York.

These are so chic, what a fantastic shoe. I find myself wearing more wedges these days, seem to be comfortable and more stable then skinny heeled sandals.

Moi quand je sais que je vais marcher beaucoup dans la journée et que je dois mettre des talon, je choisi plutôt des talons carrée :) Le plus souvent, plus confortable !!

Mes chaussures à talon en été ? Des Repetto avec un petit patin devant, les seules que je supporte toute la journée sans collants ET sans ampoules :-).
Ma lutte de cet été à Londres pour trouver une paire de ce genre : originale, élégante et à talon raisonnable et confortable !

Arrêtez de nous créer des chaussures et sandales à talons de minimum 8cm ! Sérieusement, c’est rageant tous ces jolis modèles beaucoup trop inconfortable et incompatibles avec nos modes de vies à cent à l’heure !
Du coup après une recherche active, j’ai trouvé un modèle de sandales similaire à la photo, chez & Other Stories : on tient toute la journée et la nuit aussi grâce à ce talon large ;)

I think the city heel is the perfect solution for every woman. The important thing when you work and you are wandering the streets during the day is to feel comfortable that’s why the Birkenstock trend rose up so quickly this year. But if I have to chose, I will definitely team up with an Alexander Wang pair of shoes.
