Emblazoned with graphics, stitched with miniature slogans, inspired by the rock bands and politically charged t-shirts of the past – there is NO limit to the graphic tee. A wardrobe staple no matter the decade you were born into, and exactly the type of item one hopes their parents saved for you to wear one day. While some may say the graphic tee has become ubiquitous with the lax attitude of a person on a permanent vacation, in contrast, it can also be made so chic with trousers.
A personal favorite, the tee + trouser combo is not just my fallback uniform, but something everyone should test drive. It’s like this perfect harmony of business casual – and perhaps exactly what employers were hoping staff might wear to the copious functions they are required to attend. Okay, so maybe your corporate environment won’t go for the crop top – but don’t give up just yet! The weekend is just around the corner and with endless possibilities, there may be no better way to transition into Fall than by pairing your favorite tee with a proper pant. Oh! And a bold earring doesn’t hurt either.

Love all my T-s, too. The reader who posted that they have an emotional element is spot-on… Err, I’m wearing my old (twenty-five year old) Guns ‘n’ Roses baggy, faded grey t today, with a little black neck scarf to make it a tiny bit more dressed-up with my leather pants and flat pirate boots.
That long earring is also is lovely with a slouchy T… Long earrings and little
neck scarves are what I use to help my old T-s appear more acceptable!
