This past Saturday, I was gazing out the window at the worst weather ever. I made a cup of tea. I downloaded my issue of Elle and was stopped in my tracks by these shoes.
So beautiful.
Not at all my style.
But who cares? They’re just that beautiful.
I started frantically combing the web, found them, and after thinking it over for about thirty hundredths of a second, I ordered them. You should know that I never buy anything off the web. If this wasn’t love at first sight, I don’t know what is.
Voilà voilà. Now I just have to figure out what to wear them with, how to pronounce Laurence Dacade with an American accent and how to respond to Scott when he asked me, when he finally saw them, “So why are you wearing Anna Dello Russo‘s shoes?”

You did the right thing to buy theses. They’re iconic and you’ll wear them with everything. Keep it simple with a pair of straight leg jeans+ simple black sweater, and you’ll be good to go.

I beg to differ. In fact, they are very you: beautiful, humorous, wild, funky. What you will wear with them will pretty much depend on your mood, I’m sure.

I too, found out about these shoes about a year ago…apparently the designer also designed for givenchy and chanel before creating her namesake….that explains the splendor and perfection this boot embodies….still on the fence about buying these or the chloe susan boot….

Je suis d’accord avec le commentaire de Jicky : elles sont inifniment plus Erin Wasson qu’Anna Dello Russo (Scott n’a rien compris : ADR n’est pas du tout rock n’ roll). Elles sont magnifiques. Avec un slim en cuir, un blazer ou une veste (même un manteau) en tweed et un tee-shirt loose, ça doit marcher à merveille, non ? Te voilà, la French Perfecta.
Je rejoins Girl with camera : tu es formidable dans la série “All the pretty photographers”. J’aime beaucoup le dernier cliché, celui sur lequel tu portes un trench et une queue de cheval toute bouclée.
LOVE THE BOOTS…they definitely will go with anything…I especially see them paired with a slim black wool skirt that right at, or above, the calfs. Can’t wait to see how YOU make them pop!!

Et, trop faciles à porter car justement je pense qu’il ne faut pas en faire des tonnes car elles remplissent déjà la case accessoire décalé, donc avec un slim noir et une belle chemise blanche (aussi bien maxi oversize un peu ouverte que à l’inverse bien rentrée et col boutonné), voir col roulé tout simple, elles rayonneront!!
Bref, trop des super-pompes pour tous les jours, lucky girl :!

Il m’est arrivé la même chose l’autre jour. Je feuilletais un Elle à la machine à café, et il y avait un spécial chaussures. Après avoir admiré (encore et toujours) les superbes chaussures Fendi (les chameleons, je crois ; comme celles que tu as), je tombe sur une superbe paire CosmoParis, en cuir façon python. Et, là, coup de foudre, pareil.
A l’heure du déj, je vais faire un tour du côté des grands magasins, me disant qu’en les essayant, je verrais que les talons sont trop hauts ou que ça ne me va pas… Et, là, coup de foudre confirmé. J’achète. Talon de 9cm. Au début, un peu de mal à marcher naturellement, mais je commence à bien m’y faire. Et, en plus, elles ont une classe folle et vont avec tout !

Ca, ça sent le slim, le top oversize (ou le pull, hein, faut pas chopper la mort). Une jolie veste cintrée, le bijou qui fait mouche mais qui ne mange qui sait rester discret.
C’est très drôle que tu parles de coup de foudre parce que j’en ai eu un pour des boots également. J’en parlerai lundi sur mon blog.
Il y a un truc bizarre qui se passe quand on porte des éléments pour lesquels on a eu le coup de foudre… Je ne sais pas si tu as déjà remarqué Garance…. Mais MÊME SI plusieurs années après tu continues à les mettre par automatisme, yaura toujours quelqu’un pour te dire que “c’est trop beau, ça vient d’où??”
Il m’arrive exactement ça avec:
– une paire de boucle d’oreilles bleu marine (Monoprix)
– un sac en cuir bandoulière marocain (un ptit magasin perdu dans Lyon)
– un pashmina orange (acheté sur un souk à Jérusalem)
Alors t’inquiète pas! Si tu as eu le coup de foudre pour ces chaussures, elles seront enveloppées de cette aura particulière qu’ont les truc “coup-de-foudre”…
PS: elles sont canon… et un petit côté DelloRussoïste, c’est vrai!
