My life as a holiday elf…
There was a time in my life when I really hammed it up, yes I was 10 years old BUT I also may or may not have been a child who was in the entertainment business. I took it seriously, especially my role as a dancing elf at Disneyland… Oh, you’ve never seen the Christmas Parade at Disneyland? Well, hopefully this photo transports you to a time when kids were given this actually incredible opportunity to dance through the streets at the greatest theme park in the world posing as Santa’s elves, carrying and tossing to each other bags filled with supposed letters and toys.
Yes, it was a special time – a time when Goofy was both my favorite character and fun to skip around with IRL (in real life). This, among many, is a holiday memory (or rather holiday month) I will never forget.
