There are women who take 10 minutes to quickly put on an evening gown and they’re ready to go. Caroline Sieber is a woman like that. She has the scene down to a science.
It’s not the case for me, but I’m learning little by little to get myself together and feel good for a party. Like for example, I went to a fitting for a dress that I’m going to wear at the CFDA Awards on Monday – it’s a big night for Scott and I as we’re going to be called on stage to receive an award and have to give a speech and everything… And for the first time, I’m not desperately running around! Some amazing people have helped me get ready.
I can’t wait to show you my dress and tell you all about the night. Big hugs!

I’m like you Garance, it takes me a few hours to get ready for an event and feel confident and relaxed (it’s more a psychological thing, I don’t actually spend 4 hours doing my hair), but yea I do envy the girls who can just jump in a dress and look amazing! not everyone is the same though, otherwise it’d be boring! I CAN’T wait to see the dress you’ve chosen.

Caroline est juste une tuerie de styliste, que je rêve…NAN je fantasme qu’un jour comme ça elle décide vivre dans mon village et genre comme ça on devient copines de frusque et de fil en aiguille (genre en 24.00) elle accepte de me céder son dressing et conseils avisés pour apparaître en mode glam à la kermesse de fin d’année des enfants! Ok, gros rêve et ça tape moins que la CFDA!)

I remember the first speech I had to make in Japanese. It was 2 long pages and I only had 1 month to learn it.
I thought I would be nervous, but I was so well coach and guided that I picked it up pretty quickly.
You won’t believe how I was teased about it for the longest time. I was famous for a good 4 months afterwards!

Love the dress, totally fabulous simple and yet extravagant.
The trick is to work up an timeless wardrobe that is filled with dresses and other things that is really you regardless of trends.
Don´t wait to buy until the moment when you need it, buy it when you see it if you fall in love with it. Buy a fur in june or a mini-skirt in december, don´t go for seasons or reasons!
