Aaaah, such a perfect show!
First of all, the room it was in was… So grandiose. The music, the excitement (“Will everything change now that he’s the new artistic director of Balenciaga?” “You think so?” “I can’t wait to see!”), the light cloud of smoke that made everything in the world so beautiful.
And then all the silhouettes, one by one, that put out a vision of a more mature Alexander Wang woman, less rebellious. Sublime grays, softened contours, looser and my comfortable looking pieces that gave me back my desire to be in winter (all of my big talk this morning about getting rid of gray coats went out the window. Now, of course, I want a Wang gray coat)(Not all gray coats are created equal, you know…)(whatever that means ?).
And then Malgosia, the Sublime Model (upper case because she deserves it)(I met her this morning with Emmanuelle Alt at the end of Victoria Beckham’s show and I was so enthralled I couldn’t even dare look at her), who closed out the show and stole my heart.

You know, I wasn’t too happy when he was named Creative Director of Balenciaga. I am such a huge Ghesquiere fan . . . but after seeing the images of the Alexander Wang show, I am really excited to see what he will do for Balenciaga. You can see elements of old old Balenciaga (as in from the 50s) in some of the proportions of these looks – the shoulders especially – and while I am a color aficionado . . . I am LOVING the fifty shades of gray.
I love Alexander Wang!! How has fashion week been looking with all the snow? This should interest you! What makes me sad… is how all those beautiful, expensive shoes are getting ruined!

Malgre la pression de la couleur, je reste fidele aux couleurs neutres. Quelle elegance toutes ces teintes de gris ! Et puis les chaussures noires a decoupe folle et a talons aiguilles : magnifiques !

Ah Alexander! Beautiful greys for sure. Grey also allows for other subtle colours to pop, so I agree I would love a (particular kind of) grey coat too.

d’habitude je craque surtout pour les accessoires, je trouvais son univers trop sport et carré pour moi. là j’ai envie de TOUT, j’ai envie d’avoir froid, de m’emmitoufler dans ses mailles duveteuses protégées par du cuir, envie de cette allure chic et mystérieuse. et c’est si facile à porter !
+un mot pour admirer l’ambiance nimbée de brouillard à la Deborah Turbeville. vraiment Beau.
