The Office of Angela Scott
12 years ago by
If you ever go to Dallas, you have to go visit Angela Scott. First of all because she’s lovely, but also because she has a boutique you could lose hours in.
Angela created her own shoe brand and there isn’t much in her studio that isn’t attended to with real passion.
Every shoe is made by hand, stitched by hand, painted by hand, in a way that they really don’t do any more, so much so that she had to go all the way across the world, to Japan, to find the artisans with the right skills.
I really love how much heart she puts into everything she does. Her boutique just opened and is super pretty. Even the smallest details are cared for, everything from the packaging to the personal note she writes to each of her clients.
I thought it would be good to talk about a designer as independent as Angela after my post about mass-produced Zara.
Big hugs to you all!

Wow these shoes are absolutely divine! I think attention to detail is extremely important when you start in this business, we try to include a hand-written note in all our orders because customers love it, and it’s great to be able to give a slightly more personalised service while you can still do it!

Very pretty shoes with outstanding craftsmanship! They remind me of my favorite Elsa shoes, from Antwerp, with the shiny & matte leather appliques and classic details. So precious!
Ces créations ont l’air super jolies! J’adore

Juste un mot : SUBLIME !

A little too pricey for me, but I do like Mrs. Smith and Ms. Wright (in chestnut… No, in coral. I want them all!!)
This shoes are gorgeous))))Thank you for sharing and hugs from Ukraine)

Oh Garance – what are you doing to me? :-) I don’t know whether to be in eternal gratitude or worry about my future finances…. First the post on the porselli pump…. after much searching I found a UK distributor and they are on their way …..now these most fabulous specimens of “feet clothing” …sigh…
Best wishes, glad you are safe post Sandy…. Louise
Wow, you can feel the quality of these shoes! Beautiful!
Absolutely beautiful! And what fun and playful (yet still totally chic) designs! And yes, I thinkit’s really important to highlight small independent designers, especially when we’re all talking about fast fashion like it’s the basis of our fashion diet. I think a balance between the two is what we should strive for, so thanks for reminding us of that!

Genial, I’ve never heard of her before. Good to know, thanks for sharing.

Love! Love love love!
I’m a fan of the Miss Wright, and the Mr. and Mrs. Smith…
The level of attention paid to detail is astounding – in the product, as well as in the merchandising and online presence.

Fucking Thank You :-)
I have a pair of her brogues and can also attest to their comfort!
These are articles are what we need right in a world of mass-produced fashion and dying personal style. I adore people who really care about how their goods are done and quality products. Great post this time.
There are fewer and fewer (almost no) stores that have the personal touch, imagination and artistry of Angela’s. How INspiring plus her shoes are Gorgeous!

today: you CAN judge a book by its cover
Quelle bonne idee. J’aime beaucoup les beige et blanche.
Love her old-world and modern aesthetic. I want a pair of well-crafted shoes with fuchsia and red stripes.

Magique ! Merci Garance !

This post made my Friday! i love Angie! She is so talented & fun!
My personal favorite is the Mr. Seymour!
SO happy you were able to meet her during your visit to Dallas!!!
These shoes look amazing, as is your photography. WOW!!
Great piece of shoes!
Don’t know if you can call a shoe deeelishious…but there you are…and what a stylish place in all. Just lovely…so Fucking Thanks Garance:)
Lovely shoes!
I especially like the Mrs Smith and the Miss Mason – they lookhugh quality andalso comfortable!
Thanks for introducing them!
I must say that in Elda and Elche, Spain –within others, there still exist shoe artisans. You only need to search ;)
Sometimes we don’t notice what we have SO close and go in the search of something far far away -and maybe exotic?
I like so much little boutiques where you can find a little of almost everything. I love the warm atmosphere she´s created (including her “fucking thank you”… ha…ha…).
Those pink heels are so cute!

Joli coup de coeur
Un lieu à retenir, ça m’a l’air fantastique :)
xx.
J’aime!! Belles chaussures!
