Proenza Schouler’s new SS15 campaign video, “Legs Are Not Doors” is the quintessential “fashion film” — but in a good way. It’s certainly got an all star fashion cast: Chloë Sevigny, Liya Kebede, Binx Walton, Fei Fei Sun, Laura Love and many others like a very pregnant Liv Tyler, who has my favorite cameo.

Directed by Harley Weir and Jen Brill, the film is super super sensual, with fringe flowing over flesh, fresh orchids and egg yolks dripping over python heels. It has no clear plot or singular message, (yeah, definitely a fashion film) but rather evokes the general beauty and sexuality of women.

I’ve been watching it over and over! What do you think?

I dislike all the various states of undress assumed by modern women, including all the immodest pregnant bellies. I am old enough to remember Sade singing in a shirt buttoned up to the neck and I long for a return to that kind of demeanour.
