The MMM Clutch

So when I heard I couldn’t be there for the Maison Martin Margiela for H&M launch party, after crying a little bit, I decided I needed to take action. After going through the lookbook, I gave a mission to Alex who was on her way there, the mission was called :
BBTC.
(Bring back the clutch.)
She went, she fought, and she won !!! She brought back the clutch.
Thing is, in the lookbook, there was no scale. I had no notion of the SIZE of that thing. I mean, I know MMM is all about the irony of the product, but I am still wondering if I can rock this…

Well…. if you don’t already have back problems from carrying a portfolio or a Canon around you soon could have with a clutch like that.
Alternatively; is it actually the huge toffee it resembles? That would be a real treat.

Plus sérieusement, si tout le reste est simple (mais pas triste) et féminin, ce serait pas mal du tout.

For sure you can rock this candy! I would wear a minimalist outfit with that clutch, wide leg black pants, black turtleneck and brogues, the only bling being the clutch…. no, no I’m not giving any advice, I’m just daydreaming. xxx

Ok, so it kinda looks like a big ‘ole piece of gum, but with that said, I would rock that clutch in a heartbeat, it is fantastic!
Finalement une “Pochette- Extralarge”:parfaite pour moi que j’ai toujours besoin d’avoir tout avec moi!:)

Elle est effectivement immense … je ne l’imaginais pas si grande non plus en voyant les photos de présentation … c’est trompeur…
Au moins avec ça on ne peut pas te râter et ça te permet de mettre une tenue simple et cool avec!!
Après il faut voir aussi le coté pratique :
– au moins tu peux y mettre des trucs dedans (du moins plus que ton téléphone, ton rouge à lèvre et ta carte bleu…)
– comme du coup tu l’as remplie et qu’elle devient lourde tu fais de la muscu en même temps 10 min coté droit 10 min côté gauche et hop plus besoin de faire du sport à coté :)
En fait j’adhère completement à cette pochette !!!
Jolie mais je ne l’imaginais pas si grande non plus !

J’aime beaucoup. Certes, ce n’est pas évident à porter, mais c’est justement sa taille qui fait sa beauté. :)

Bah si tu l’as voulue à ce point la pochette, j’espère que tu vas l’assumer (:p). Puis c’est MMM, ça fait parti de la maison ce genre de proportion fallait s’y attendre! En tout cas j’ai hâte de voir la collection de mes propres yeux!

It’s super glam and I like it in theory, but in practice it seems a bit cumbersome and inconvenient especially if you’re a busy, no nonsense gal like myself. I guess for things you know you’ll have time to hold that it’d be a great touch, but other than that…

It is a bit large, yes :). But, if you eventually decide to keep it, you can always try to replicate this look (found while going through the archives, remembering those early years of the Sartorialist – very inspiring!). The ring worn over the glove is a nice touch.

You can TOTALLY rock that! Oversized clutches are all the rage & besides, I had a large, black clutch from H&M that I adored & got SO many compliments on until it fell apart (damn cheap accessories) & still miss it to this day. Rock that puppy!

Think I’d need to see the clutch in a more zoomed out photo to tell you what I really thought!
I am SOOOOOO in love with it so much I was carrying coffee bags (like that one but smaller) under my arm for days, you know imagining I had it, unfortunately it didn’t make it to the Mexico Store, so I’ll have to stick to those coffee bags. If you don’t use it you should totally give it to me for christmas (haha as if. ) It is just a wishful thinking.

Qu’elle soirée en perspective, en avance pour le concert de Lou, je m’arrête chez H&M qui se trouve à côté du club et là, la collection Margiella soldé!!! Y en a encore!!! Bon go au concert!!!
