Bedroom Curtains
7 years ago by
Dear bedroom curtains,
Now that I have you, I can’t imagine my life without you. Ok, that’s a lie, because until last weekend, I didn’t have you and I vividly remember exactly what it was like. And let me tell you, it was sad.
You provide me with decor, privacy, and cool shaded mornings in a life that used to be filled with violently sunny awakenings and many nights I’m nearly certain my neighbors were staring at me standing naked in my room.
It was a rough start – I doubted myself in choosing you, I text Vanessa compulsively asking for her opinion, wondering if I was making the right choice. And then, on a mildly hungover Sunday alone in Ikea, I found you. Or maybe you found me? (and the 976,000 other people I’m sure have you in their home).
I eagerly took you home and after 3 hours of trying to use a power drill (still alone, less mildly hungover), we were finally complete. I’m never letting go (next time I’m definitely asking for help with the drill, though).
Lovingly yours,
Natalie
Hold on to that power drill, woman, and learn to use it well! Then you can teach the rest of us.
Yes! That last part was a joke. Very empowering to know how to use a drill. One time I assembled a bed frame with a kitchen knife (successfully!) so I think I should invest in a screwdriver too x
Stunning curtains

Bedroom curtains, would you go on blind date with my blinds ?
Now THIS is an authentic post. Not a commercial.
Eh bien voilà un vrai post, authentique, qui ne ressemble pas à une pub mais raconte une expérience.
Keep doing nice stuff like this, Natalie (DIY and nice stories :)
Most enjoyable and aren’t those shades or blinds? I think of curtains as fabric aka drapes…
Yes, those are blinds – an image I pulled from our story with Hannah Henderson. I do in fact, have proper drapes x
C’est fou le nombre de pays où il n’y a pas de volets. C’est quand même bien pratique pour avoir un peu d’intimité !
