The Style of Maud Barrionuevo
5 years ago by
Maud Barrionuevo in the Buying Director of 24 Sèvres. She’s also an incredibly chic woman that we were lucky enough to meet when we went to Paris this January. Take a peek at her immaculate style here!
Tailored, feminine, Parisian.
What is your ideal outfit or uniform?
I always opt for pieces that can seamlessly take me from day to night, from a day of meetings to drinks with friends. My go-to includes a feminine blouse or elevated knitwear, tailored pants or a midi skirt, and a statement ankle boot or low-heel pump.
Tell us a little bit about what you do at 24 Sèvres? Does the work that you do affect how you dress each day?
No day is exactly the same, so I need to dress for unpredictability. Last-minute brand meetings, evening events, or running around town mean – I always have to find a balance between being put-together, but also comfortable.
Who or what are you excited about in fashion right now?
There’s a wave of newness blowing through the industry at the moment that I’m really excited about. I can’t wait to see more of Daniel Lee at Bottega Veneta, and I look forward to seeing more of Hedi Slimane and Virgil Abloh’s work at Celine and Louis Vuitton, respectively.
What are some brands that you carry at 24 Sèvres that you feel perfectly encapsulate your style?
I have always been a Celine girl at heart, this much isn’t a secret. I’m also particularly excited about Dries van Noten prints, Harris Wharf outerwear and The Row knitwear, as well as a few new brands we’ve just launched on the site, including Àcheval Pampa, Yuzefi, Sies Marjan and, soon, Rejina Pyo.
What is the most valued thing in your closet?
I have this fabulous re-edition of a black Balenciaga dress from the 60’s, adorned with 3 big black buttons and in an incredible grain de poudre fabric.
What is most important to you when it comes to style: comfort, beauty or innovation?
Is it too picky to say all of the above? I love a piece that is beautiful of course, and I have an appreciation for designers innovating in their field, be it in design, technique, fabric use, and beyond. Plus, nothing beats a piece you can feel yourself and totally at ease in!
24 Sèvres is, by far, my absolute favourite online shop! I’m in Australia and the amount of choice and the pricing is really competitive … especially on sale!! The styling and clothing presentation is really great and informative.
You look so gorgeous in both outfits. Love your Bag.
Beautiful style. I love how it’s images of style leading up to a slow reveal of Maud’s face. Tres belle! I too am fascinated by the creative talents of Dries van Noten in his use of colour and patterns. I’d love to see a photo of Maud’s workspace – how her desk is arranged with her inspires of the day. It’d be a snapshot of “a day in the life of…”.
Tes looks me fascine, j’avais craqué sur cette manteau blanche.
