Wind Breaker

Although I can only acknowledge the cold weather with a seriously crazy super megaton heavy heart, I can’t help but love the small details that people start adding to their outfits as the new season sets in…
Like my friend Fernanda, who completely embraces the dual role of headphones in the cooler months: to listen to music* and protect her ears from the cold and wind. Bonus points for the really cute color, which is such a nice way to soften the neutral colors that seem to take over everyone’s wardrobes in winter!
What are your favorite winter accessories and details? I’ve started to see some really cute beanies and beautiful scarves around the city, too…

*Listening to music is a little like wearing armor in New York; no one disturbs you, and you can have your own space to think — it’s G’s trick for surviving crazy days — she always has her signature pair of white Frenz headphones with her whenever she’s walking around the city :)
Fernanda wears Panasonic headphones.

Fernanda de la Puente is a holistic nutrition counselor?! i would have loved to here more from her music her way of moving the day with music/nutrition… than just the way to warm them …
i love music but warming my ears isn’t the main reason why i buy one model more than another..

Gorgeous picture! I was hesistant on wearing headphones in the beginning but then I realised they served a double function – music and warm ears. That pink version looks amazing, although I opted for a more neutral pair in black.

I love her coat!
I’d love to be with uncovered head or headphones in winter, but in the country where I live – no way! :(
Also my head is really cold-sensitive so I have to wear a beanie or sth in winter. Unfortunately nothing seems to suit me!

You know, I never thought of using a stylish big ol’ pair of headphones as both a zen device in public AND ear warmers. Awesome. Thanks, Neada!

Oh j’avoue que c’est une bonne idée le casque qui sert également de cache-oreilles!
Belle soirée
Petite and So What?
Coming to this post a month late, and couldn’t adore it more! I love keeping an arsenal of over-ears on rotation to wear according to what you’re listening to, and what you’re wearing. I’m a huge fan of the Panasonic RP-HTX7’s, and have a pair in cream – they sound so nice for the cost, super rich and full. I also just got a pair of Audio Technica ATH-ESW9’s, which are a bit lighter and smaller and easier to deal with on the train; best of all, they have these wonderful warm, red mahogany housings which look extremely rich and smooth and sound equally so. xx
