I’ve had a long time love for jumpsuits, even though I don’t wear them very often. It’s one of those pieces that becomes so easy to wear. You can wear it with flats or sneakers during the day and all it needs is a shoe change to wear out at night and dress it up a little bit. Emily even wore one to a black tie wedding last summer and it was totally cool.
I love this one from Isabel Marant on Michele— the perfect piece to go from end of the summer into fall… (Yes, it’s really coming, we can’t keep avoiding it…)

Sorry but I disagree.
for me this is the most unpractical piece of clothing:
you have to take it all off every time you need to go to the toilet
(my apologies for the picture i am picturing but it is true)
The inconvenience multiplies if it has a back zipper.
If you still don’t mind though, go for the whole or buttoned ones, avoid the zippers as if they go bad, there is nothing you can do to cover it!

a friend took apart a army jumpsuit and designer it for my body sexy tight slim legs above my ankle bone and silver zipper that went up one leg and across the top……i wish i still had it
Jumpsuits! Aw, how I love them. I’d wear one right away if I was just a little taller. To me, a Jumpsuit is one of these pieces that look good only when you’ve got a certain height. On Michele it looks stunning.

Garance – please don’t. Not since they I wore a (pink) one to my 10th grade “Sadie Hawkins” dance have I contemplated a jumpsuit. They are one of fashion’s seemingly good ideas that in the end will bring nothing but embarassing pictures. Let’s just wait until we all have to wear them in a materialistic future world…my personal nightmare is that mine will end up being pink.
I love jumpsuits but on other people…it’s the worse things ever when you need to go to the toilet….
just too much stress..so if you had it once in a lifetime you will never buy it again…

C’est ma piece préférée, j’en porterais tous les jours! Je me sens toujours très féminine, mais sans ce sentiment de “mal aise” que j’ai parfois robe.
J’en porte aussi aux mariage, effet garanti, chic mais pas trop apprêté!
Pour moi ça restera un ‘don’t… Je me revois en train de customiser mon pijama deux pièces avec les talons de ma maman et un foulard, c’était chou.

Being built like a Bosc (so much nicer than saying “pear-shaped”), I haven’t done jumpsuits since the ’80’s. And even then, it was essentially pants with a scarf attached to the front of the waist where you could either have a bulky cummerbund or wrap it around for a boob-flattening strapless top. I share the sentiment above about having to strip down if you need to visit the ladies’ room. And those heels? I’d be hit by an impatient cab the second the traffic light turned green, as I would still be tiptoeing, Geisha-like, across the intersection for fear of toppling like a sequoia. But she does look great…
This is a great look on you! Personally I love jumpsuits as they are very simple and easy wear and very handy to put on especially on those mornngs when you are in rush.. However, I do have very short back so need to be careful with choosing the model.. They are wonderfully perfect, if the fit is right; however, a visit to a public restroom takes away all that is perfect about them. So, either don’t drink anything all day or wear for a two to three hour outing. The pair pictured is just lovely!

J’adore les combi-pantalons, mais de préférence dans des matières sophistiquées et des couleurs choisies (sinon ça me rappelle la combi de travail de ma soeur ^^), et uniquement avec des talons,même petits, je trouve qu’à plat ou avec des sneakers, ça tasse la silhouette :)

C’est vraiment comme tu le dis, une pièce à avoir pour le jour et le soir.
Même sur les garçons ça le fait!
Je m’en suis fait un all black qui fait très habillé car je l’ai coupé comme un trois pièces chemise, gilet et pantalon. Le second que je possède, est en jeans et est un parfait basique jour soir, il suffit de l’accessoiriser.
Versatility! That’s it!
Et on fait comment pour aller faire pipi ? :)
