In this case, all these looks are worn with a boyish charm to them : flats, trainers, an athletic-ease about their approach to the traditionally uptight suit. Don’t they seem so casual, and confident, and cool?! I think its the subtle contrasts each applied : all buttoned up but with a little ankle, or neutral tones all-over and a pale pink hit of color on the shoe.
I really love a suit – its just so smart and think
Caroline,
Keisha,
Natasha and
Sarah are owning it. Its the personality of the woman wearing the suit you notice, and not the goosebumps she might have been sporting while wearing a dress….
A beautiful and formal way to make a statement!!

Great choice of topic for your stylish blog! These women look beautiful. I used to have very short hair, wore suits and still felt feminine, I had an amazing job, kids and was inspired by the beauties of the 30s or the 80s with incredible businesswomen :)
I always have felt good in a suit. It’s like armor. It provides warmth against A/C. It can camouflage faults. It always looks “correct,” as the French say. I applaud the return of suits. Caroline Issa looks spectacular, as usual, and makes a suit with sports shoes look completely logical.
As for the hair, I think a woman with short hair can look feminine in a suit if she amps up the earrings and maybe also the lipstick. But seriously, a woman can look feminine wearing sweats and unfeminine wearing a ballgown. It’s more about personality and personal taste than hairstyle.

Relaxed elegance. Somehow it’s not that easy to do. I can’t nail it for example. :)

Vraiment top cet article!

Perfect style!
it is interesting how many different ways they dress down the suit. I think of it less as feminizing the suit and more as relaxing the suit (for me the Theyskens effect).
re hair and suits – I don’t actually own a pants suit but since I’ve been sporting very short hair, I feel more attraction towards fitted skirts or at the least, a feminine colored lip (or pretty shoe).
the thing I like about a suit is how it can be a uniform. save time and if it fits you nicely, it will always be stylish.

Love love love the dark suit shown in the first photo!!!
Sorry, but Sarah looks like she’s wearing grey flannel PJs.
I love suits and I love wearing them with flats. I have a navy suit I bought from The Kooples that I wear every time I have an important meeting. It gives me confidence because I feel comfortable but professional at the same time. It’s my go get them uniform!

Amazing pieces features here, Kiesha’s outfit is my favourite, it’s so easy to wear but you can dress it up with heels for the evening. Solid staples in any capsule wardrobe. Really, really cool ! I wish my bosses dress up this way every now and then !
