Please, next time I tell you I am leaving for Milan in september, could you remind me that it’s not because it’s autumn that I have to load my luggage with winter clothes ?
I litteraly broke my suitcase to make things fit in, things I never wore : most of the time, it’s been 2000 degrees.
Ah, but for the two little days of rain we had, there, I was totally ready, I had everything, from the hat, the rain boots, the jacket and the wool pants… A little bit like Valentina on the picture with her Prada fishermans boots, but ten times warmer. Pffff.
Ok now I have to go, got to get ready to catch the train, the best way we found with Scott to slow time a little bit before Paris’ fashion week crazyness.

Même dans la rue, les looks sont différents pendant cette semaine enchantée.
Bien sûr tu seras sous les chapiteaux et autres entrepôts pour voir défiler les merveilles qui donnent envie de soleil, mais pense tout de même, pour t’y rendre, à prendre un parapluie coloré !

A Paris je ne sais pas, mais en Suisse (Neuchâtel, 5h au dessus de Milan) il fait gris et froid. L’automne est la.

A Paris, je ne sais pas, mais à La Rochelle, plutôt pas mal… Des petits moutons dans le ciel, rien de méchant, et une lueur rosée de bon augure. Bon voyage !

FROID (et gris)! Tu te féliciteras d’avoir pris ta garde-robe A-H. Si ce n’était la Fashion Week, je t’ordonnerais (même si on ne se connaît pas et si je te tutoie) de rester à Milan.
I love, LOVE train travel. It’s one of the things I like the most about living on this side of the world. Back in Canada (and it’s the same for all of North America), we love our cars and count distances in terms of how many minutes, hours or days it’ll take to get somewhere. You might fly, but The Road Trip has more adventure, scenery and sites.
Over the summer I spent quite a bit of time hopping on to trains to get somewhere on the Continent, and was in a state of bliss. It is much more relaxing to sit on a train and watching the world go by.
Enjoy the view.
(Yes, realised the weather in Milan is unpredictable, but VERY warm more often then not, especially for me!)

mais bon, voyons le bon côté des choses, les bottes, les écharpes toutes douces,… !
C’est bon à Paris tu vas pouvoir utiliser toutes tes affaires, il fait au moins -8000 et il fait mooooche!
Les grenouilles sont de sorties …tu vas pouvoir chausser tes bottes et mettre ton trench…
Aujourd’hui à Paris une précipitation est prévue sur le quart nord ouest du 6ème arrondissement, mais quelques éclaircies bien agréables réchaufferont un peu l’atmosphère rue de Buci, rue du Dragon et Bd St Germain. La grêle s’abattra partout ailleurs avec une mer belle à agitée dans le golfe du lion et sur les pourtours méditerranéens. Demain c’est la saint Paulette et le soleil se lèvera vers 13h12, le temps de cuver un peu.

Le temps à Paris est catastrophique. Je pense que tes vêtements vont te servir.
J’ai pensée le même chose que Barbie Turique–dans le sud, if faut baaaux! Grand ciel blue, petite vente frais parfait pour le premier sortie du cashmere. L’autre journée sur FIP, il disait qu’il fait 15° à Paris mais 24 à Marseille, whoohoo…(*ok, I’m ducking now from all the various objects being thrown at me)…

Love that raincoat! Could use it this week in New York. The best part of the weather was seeing an umbrella (parapluie may be one of my favorite words in French, along with saucissson!) that had printed on one side ” Merde Il Pleut.” Made me laugh. I took an overnight train from Paris to Milan years ago in the summer. The air conditioning wasn’t working so we had to keep the window open, hearing all the conversations at each train stop. Still, seeing the Italian Alps at dawn was unforgettable.
Moue boudeuse et/ou déterminée ! C’est tout à fait l’humeur du jour… à Paris… où il fait tout de même me semble-t-il plus froid. Tenir jambes nues ? Pas sûr. Ou alors pour sauter d’un taxi/mieux limousine à un défilé !
