Do you know about Aerin Lauder’s beauty line? We talk about it regularly on the blog, because we adore it (especially the tanning lotion — it’s great)(and the amazing accessories). So I was especially excited when I got to go visit her at her house in the Hamptons, thanks to my collaboration with Estée Lauder.
The occasion for the visit was the launch of Aerin’s new perfume, Rose de Grasse.
We went to see her at her house, we got to visit her incredible rose garden, and honestly, I left feeling super inspired.
I recognized their relaxed, American-style hospitality right away. The house could be intimidating — after all, it’s a little piece of American history (it belonged to Estée, Aerin’s grandmother) but you feel right at home as soon as you walk in.
We talked a lot about roses, of course. Rose is a very delicate scent and it’s difficult to capture in a fragrance. I can’t imagine how many hours went in to trying to find the perfect note. Aerin’s rose scent is close to perfection, both light and intense at the same time.

I love these pictures. Aerin Lauder seems to be a modern incarnation of her grandmother. Very calm and classically stylish. It’s nice to see an heiress take on the challenge of working hard and maintaining and elegant persona
I do not think that any other photographer would be able to capture the essence of beauty and meaning behind Aerin and her brand, as you did Garance! Sincere congratulations!!!!

Normalement, je collectionne toutes les photos des maisons d’Aerin Lauder que je peux trouver mais celles-ci sont trop blanches et trop floues, one ne voit pratiquement rien. Je ne partage pas trop l’extase des autres.
Aerin c’est vraiment l’Américaine typique et parfaite ! Tout en elle respire le calme et la beauté. Sa maison est juste sublime, j’adorerais essayer sa ligne de produits !

I love that she remains true to classic American style. I wear her tuberose-gardenia perfume and love it! I also use Estee Lauder’s “Verite” cream, about the only thing that works for my sensitive skin. Beautiful photos, Garance!
Grasse, synonyme du parfum, royaume de la rose… et juste chez à côté de chez moi, fierté :-) Il faut visiter les jardins du Musée international de la Parfumerie quand les roses centifolia sont en fleur!
