Laura always looks chic, especially here in all-white!
So, imagine my surprise when she sat down next to me at a fashion show last week and we were wearing the same outfit?! Call it friendship intuition? I’m not sure, but it sort of reaffirmed that I too wasn’t off the mark, wearing neutrals and whites in what was the coldest day in history (maybe that’s an exaggeration … but seriously).
Plus, since I’ve known Laura, she’s always sort of been my own role model on how to look sophisticated without forgetting my youth.
Do you love an all-white look in winter?

I agree. All white in winter is chic, but real fur is never fashionable.

J’ai entendu parler d’une “règle” aux USA qui disait “pas de blanc après début septembre”. Pourquoi ? Moi je trouve ça super, et vous l’avez prouvé vous-même ;)
C’est vrai que j’ai aussi entendu cette règle aux Etats-Unis même si ça a l’air de disparaitre. Je crois que ça venait des clubs privés ouverts de Memorial Day (en mai) à Labor Day (première semaine de septembre) et où la tenue de rigueur pour jouer au tennis était du blanc… Moi je trouve le blanc classe toute l’année !

To be honest that coat ages her. I looked at the rest of the photos on the Laura Stoloff tag and was surprised to see she’s much younger than she looks in that photo.

Tu as relevé quelque chose de très important Brie, élégant MAIS jeune; une association bien souvent complexe mais ici relevée avec brio.
After all some animals have white fur..so why not us..i think that it’s more a question of material..if it’s cotton it will feel summer…so go for a soft and warm material..

I intensely dislike all the fur that is showing right now. We have gone backwards from the last few years and too many young people are wearing fur again. I think it is unconscionable. Fur is more beautiful on the animal it belongs to and they shouldn’t lose their lives (horrifically) for vanity.
Le blanc l’hiver, j’adore, le style de Laura, d’habitude j’aime bien, mais là, je ne suis fan ni de la veste en fourrure, mémérisante, ni des bottines, ni de la longueur du pantalon. Pour le coup, l’ensemble viellit, je trouve.

Depuis quelques jours je me pose justement la question. Je vis à Paris et on ne voit absolument personne porter un pantalon blanc l’hiver, c’est limite considéré comme une faute de goût… Dommage, le mien attend sagement de meilleurs jours du coup.

Très joli look ! Le blanc d’hiver, j’adore (d’ailleurs c’est amusant car j’ai posté il y a quelques mois un article sur mon blog également intitulé “winter white” : http://www.sleevesandheels.net/2014/10/winter-white.html !!!) mais beaucoup plus sur les autres. J’ai toujours cette terrible angoisse de la tenue blanche immaculée sur laquelle on fait une tache atroce en plein milieu de la journée (ou même pire, dès le matin, tout juste arrivé au boulot). J’ai donc un grand respect pour celles qui osent ! Laura est superbement élégante.
