Where’s Gisele?

My favorite Brazilian is making a serious impact on the fall campaigns. She sported a faux buzz cut for Balenciaga (I mourned the loss of her perfect beach waves for a brief moment), sparkled in Pucci, went au naturel for Sonia Rykiel and now she’s giving us some real je ne sais quoi for Isabel Marant.
She’s one of very few models that despite being pretty commercial, she still has this totally cool and chic vibe. Does that mean she’s mastered the art of the super model today?
I don’t agree. Daria, though, is the one keeping it real cool!

ps: dear gisele, i get it that you’re rich AND beautiful AND famous, but trying a less smug public persona!

I’ve met her and her husband and they are completely down to earth and unsuspecting– you would never guess it were “them” at all. I’d say they seemed friendly and a little shy.
That said, I agree, and think of her less as the cool girl and more as the sexy beauty that she is in print.
Pareil, j’ai eu un moment d’inquiétude en voyant sa (fausse) coupe très courte :) Je la trouve toujours fraiche et naturelle malgré son implication dans l’industrie de la mode, elle donne l’impression de flotter :)

I love Gisele..but i really don’t understand why all this so different fashion house want’s the same lady…there are so many amazing girls…and there are 2-3 girls who are doing almost all the publicity….what about new faces and strong image!!!

Agree with “From The World With Love”; Fashion designers and brands are meant to be inovative but just copy each other, and this is the same in regards to the trends they are following…the same wave.We are, as well all following the leaders that follow each other…so sad.

I think so. She’s very “celebrity” but I think when it coms to her work, she know how to be more serious than other models

She’s the opposite of cool. She is really, really naff.
I’m not a huge fan of her, but I have to admit those be achy waves are amazingly awesome haha!

oui je crois elle sait faire sa comm via les réseaux sociaux sans abimer son image, elle reste une maman attentive et elle protege sa vie privee! Ce n’est pas pour rien qu’elle est une des tops les mieux payees au monde… Un model quoi!!! Et trop belle en plus

She is not really cool, she is working on her image very precisely, she is too celebrity for me, Doutzen and Daria seems to be much cooler…
Elle est vraiment impressionnante cette fille, parce qu’elle arrive à jouer sur tous les tableaux (ce qui n’est pas le cas de toutes les tops, loin de là !)… Pour arriver à inspirer à la fois Isabel Marant, Karl ou n’importe quelle personne sur cette planète, il lui faut vraiment un je ne sais quoi d’inexplicable ! C’est ce qu’on appelle le talent (ou le charisme, au choix )

C’est surtout une redoutable femme d’affaires qui maîtrise le marketing de l’image en 2014, ce qui lui permet, reconnaissons-le, de mener une brillante carrière. Je regrette juste le photoshop Balenciaga; pourquoi la prendre elle plutôt qu’une fille qui ose vraiment la coupe? Ou pourquoi elle-même n’ose-t-elle pas?
Je ne comprends pas ce buzz autour de Gisele……comme je ne comprenais pas celui autour de Claudia.
Quelqu’un peut-il m’expliquer ? Doutzen, Daria, Inès, Kate…. des filles qui ne sont pas seulement que belles mais qui sont habitées. Pas seulement une silhouette, des mensurations de rêve.
Dans un de ses articles, Garance disait que le short pouvait tourner vulgaire. Moi et j’en suis désolée, c’est Gisele que je trouve vulgaire et je ne comprends pas pourquoi puisqu’elle est très belle.
Est-ce sa “parfaitude” qui me dérange ?

I mourn the loss of her buzzcut! I was so excited when I first saw that ad, and I thought OMG GISELE IS FINALLY COOL (if anybody can do it, Alexander Wang can!) So now I’m back to being vaguely interested I guess.
Personnellement je ne suis pas trop fan de Gisele, que je trouve un peu trop “bling” à certains moments, je préfère largement des tops comme Coco Rocha ou Eddie Campbell, discrète mais super cool !
