This is a familiar refrain commonly heard from my stepdad. A lawyer, destined for a life of conservative dressing in black or navy suits each day, he has a pretty admirable collection of colorful and patterned socks. I always loved the thought of him sitting in a courtroom will just a subtle reveal of a polkadot or bright yellow sock…
These Henrik Vibskov socks toe the line (see what I did there?!) in monochromatic tones of black and white but with a really fun design! Even cute layered over tights with black brogues and a skirt, or with sneakers and a cuffed jean.

So glad you asked! Socks were definitely under our Christmas tree this year. Both sons got a pair that were made in Australia from the Wool Museum (in Geelong). And, as it turns out, older son, a trumpet player who lives in Brooklyn shares my affinity for well made and beautifully designed socks. Hey, if your feet don’t feel good, you don’t feel good either.
Socks are mainly a practical need for me. I’d be barefoot all the time if I could! :)

My sock policy is the warmer the better. It is full on winter in Toronto.

mais il est vrai que maintenant on peut sortir avec sans être gêné par les regards des gens pour 2 raisons:
– à Paris personne ne te regarde (sauf si tu n’es pas extrêmement extravagant)
– plus tu es différent mieux c’est :)

Socks are where my personality comes through: there are no boundaries. Many people have commented on my socks since I was in elementary school, including my middle school physical education teacher who told me I had to wear white socks because the gym was not a runway. FYI: I have never worn a pair of plain white socks in my life, and I do not think I ever will.
You’re right. Life is too short for boring socks!
