Veronica: Barack’s legacy continues to break the mold with his official portrait. But Michelle is never one to but outdone.
I like the portrait of Barack Obama very much. It’s a good likeness and he looks (hot) casual and accessible. And intensely clever of course.
The portrait of Michelle Obama is weak – for such a strong and dynamic individual. The exaggerated, billowing, patterned outfit dominates the image completely, making it about the dress, not the person. One peers into the small face of ‘Michelle’ to see her, but is disappointed to not find her there.
