Yeesh…it’s been a year.
And while I think we’re all still processing everything that’s happened (is happening)(more to come on that soon), I’ve been feeling very inspired to take a more active role trying to influence change, no matter how big or small. I signed up for a mentorship program to help high school students who are interested in or are applying to college that starts in the new year and I’m really excited about it.
So I thought with the holidays quickly approaching, and in a spirit of giving, I’d share a few different organizations that need our help now more than ever, whether it’s time or it’s money. And I’d really love to hear about any other causes you’re passionate about!

I’m also trying to take more active role. I’m particularly passionate about the refugee crisis and want to support the Help Refugees UK organisation as well as educate myself on the issue of climate change and environment. My goal for 2017 is to reduce my waste of plastic (as everything we buy is packed in plastic bags) by making more informed choices.
