The making of the Dior fall sneakers certainly was tedious!
Watch how the embellished shoe was created, from sketch, to chiseling out the perfect rubber sole to the flower encrusted final product.
Now we know why those are couture sneakers. What do you think, do you like them?
both dior and chanel need more guidance in this area…
This is art !! and we have to preserve this kind of beautiful work ..ancient& modern..and to understand that there is a price to slow fashion comparing to fast fashion….
I appreciate the work, and effort that went in to the making of these sneakers. To me, the design looks beyond kitsch.
I’m so in love :)
Très édifiante cette vidéo!
Beautiful. Loved the video!
No, not at all! So much effort, and any pair of plain Converse would look 100 times better than this. Seriously, you cannot just embroider anything and get away with it. Not really into the embroidery trend at all, but when it only adds stuff in a random way it doesnt make any sense to me…
Super belles !
Sublime vidéo, j’adore vraiment voir le travail créatif, c’est tellement instructif et tellement beau ! Haaa la haute couture à la française, même pou les baskets !
I like the video as I love understanding process and how things are made. But for my taste, this sneaker is a huge miss. It’s like putting lipstick on a monkey!! A simple nike shoes is 10 times more beautiful, it’s authentic! Great sneakers have beautiful lines and forms, and great design is based on function. This Dior shoe looked like the opposite of all of that.
I agree with Yael Guetta that this kind of know how should be preserved, but please not on a sneaker, specially not ones with “air max” kind of soles. I mean are we going running or are we going to ascot? If they had left the sole out, it wouldn’t have been so bad, but that sole pushed it all the way to infamy.
I completely and wholeheartedly agree. I totally respecting the artistry and craftsmanship that went into the making, but the shoes themselves are an absolute abomination.
Quelle magnifique paire , je viens d en faire l acquisition et je ne regrette absolument pas d avoir dépensé tant d argent . Quand je vois le travail de réalisation… C est incroyable ! Vive la haute couture !!
This is art!
