There’s seven days until summer but Rosie Li has designed the sculptural lightings of your sunny dreams that will brighten up your city apartment year-round.
Li is a Chinese-born American designer and the founder of her eponymous studio, where she blends geometric forms with organic elements, blurring the lines between product and sculpture. Inspired by nature, the lighting atelier constructs its sculptural fixtures with an undercurrent of science and mathematics.
The atelier’s new 2018 collection launched during New York Design Week at ICFF, presenting a series of chandeliers, floor lamps and sconces and debuting the Inez collection. Inspired by the forests of Yucatán, the lighting’s hand-pleated copper shades recalls the natural architecture and structural folds of the fan palm.
Who knew you could bask under the light of a palm leaf whilst being in the shade and comfort of your own home? It’s only right that your apartment be referred to as the oasis from now on.
